Suncor Haul Truck Operator
Heavy Equipment Operator is structured as a 3 ½ week classroom training program at Women Building Futures’ Training Centre in Edmonton and three months of paid, hands-on training by Suncor at their Millennium Mine Project north of Fort McMurray.
Students will be provided with essential safety awareness and industry recognized certification for employment, acquire WBF’s Best practices for working in construction, and receive exposure to the technical skills and hands on training needed to become a Heavy Equipment Operator.
During the three-month co-op, participants will have on-going training and coaching from WBF to support retention and long term success.
Tuition for this program is paid for by Suncor.
Application Requirements: Class 5 License (non-GDL), High School Diploma or GED, Residency in Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo.
