Journeywoman Start Lethbridge

Journeywoman Start (JWS) Lethbridge is a hands-on program that provides introductory training in carpentry, welding, electrical, wind turbine technician, heavy equipment technician.

The program is designed to help students prepare for and succeed as an entry-level worker in the construction and maintenance industry.

Students receive essential safety awareness and certification, best practices for working in construction, exposure to the technical skills and hands-on participation in workshops to support and prepare them to enter the construction and maintenance industry. Delivery will be a blend of in-person, virtual, and online learning.

Admission Requirements:
  • Successful completion of drug & fitness testing
  • Class 5 Driver's License recommended

To support employment opportunities upon completion of this program, students will also have support from our Alumni Advisor team in job search and navigating the apprenticeship journey.
