COVID-19 RESPONSE UPDATE #3 - Programs & One-on-One Support

by Brittany Nugent | Mar 30, 2020

Women Building Futures is committed to monitor the recommendations provided by the government to ensure we do what is best for the health of Albertans broadly with regards to the "unprecedented" threat of COVID-19 . We are also following similar requirements of post-secondary, as well as those of our stakeholder employers, as we not only educate but change lives through solid employment.

Our current programs are being adjusted, where possible, to online delivery and we have postponed many of our upcoming classes until further notice.

To date, we have had to postpone the following classes until further notice:

Journeywoman Start (Edmonton)

We are continuing to work one-on-one with prospective students. Our Admissions and Community teams are available to share more info about our introductory trades training program, Journeywoman Start, and will be offering a variety of virtual supports over the coming weeks.

Our teams will be working with women virtually to build readiness (academics, life skills, financial literacy, coaching, and career-pathing) and support application to our programs.
